
What is Activated Insights?
Activated Insights is a new Learning Management System (LMS) designed to enhance learning capabilities and support training initiatives. It provides users with easy access to learning materials, tracks progress, and allows for interactive and personalized training experiences. The system went live for all offices on May 13, 2025, and is intended to replace the previous system, Empower.

Custom Content Creation: Training managers can create and upload their own content, build custom learning paths, and manage curricula.

Training and Support: Various training sessions and resources are available to help users familiarize themselves with the system and its functionalities.
Activated Insights is Home Instead's official Learning Management System (LMS). The site provides online training as a supplement to our in-office training and will allow you to take control of your own learning journey. Home Instead is dedicated to providing a best-in-class, consistent training experience, and Activated Insights allows us to achieve that goal together. This platform will strengthen Home Instead’s learning capabilities and support our mission to expand the world’s capacity to care.
How to access
Computer/Laptop:
Activated Insights Training:
You will see a training module assigned to you called “Getting Started with Activated Insights” to help you get introduced to the new system.
Access Details:
To get started, you can log in using the following details:

Click on the blue text that says LOG IN USING HOME INSTEAD SSO
3. Click on the Care Pros link
4. If you are an existing Care Pro, you will use the same username and password that you used for Empower.
5. If you are a new Care Pro, you will need to click on the Forgot your password? link to set up a new password.
Mobile:
While we wait for our customized mobile app to be fully set up, we have a temporary option available:
Mobile Browser Access: You can access the platform directly through your mobile device’s web browser. Google Chrome is the only preferred browser. Here are the steps to undertake when logging into the LMS.
On your mobile browser, go to this link: https://training.homeinstead.com/
Step 1: Click “LOG IN USING HOME INSTEAD SSO”
Step 2: On the next screen, choose “Care Pros”
Step 3: Once you click your role, you will come to this login screen
If you are a first-time user or forgot your password, click “forgot your password?”
You will get an email to reset your password, follow the prompts and you will be all set.
It’s important to note that accessing the LMS through the mobile browser comes with some limitations such as:

Viewing quizzes or courses on a mobile browser is not the most optimal experience as the content might need to be watched in a landscape mode.

To increase / improve visibility, users will need to pinch their screens to see the content clearly

Training assignments are best done on laptop browsers. We strongly recommend Key Players to use their laptops/computers to conduct training assignment activities.

No single solution will be perfect for every user or situation, but we’re committed to making the experience as seamless and effective as possible.
The option above is temporary and will help bridge the gap and ensure your teams can continue learning and operating until the customized app is ready.
We will inform you when the customized version of the app goes live. We are currently not recommending that you use the Activated Insights mobile app available on the app store because it does not track the amount of time a Care Pro takes to complete the course.
OUR TRAINING POLICY
TRAINING OVERVIEW
Care Professionals may view and complete any training courses through Activated Insights. All trainings, unless specifically assigned by a Home Instead Care Manager within the Activated Insights system, are considered voluntary and therefore unpaid. Assigned or voluntary training is not to be viewed when a Care Professional is on a scheduled shift with a client.* For mandatory assigned training, Care Professionals will be compensated for the expected duration of the class as determined by Activated Insights.
SCOPE OF PRACTICE
It is important to note that Activated Insights is a Home Instead network-wide platform, and not all training subjects and/or lessons are applicable to our office. Your Scope of Practice, as defined in your Care Professional Orientation Manual, overrides any training information provided through Activated Insights.
