May Updates: RI Phase 1

Hi all,

We wanted to reach out with additional updates regarding the coronavirus outbreak. In the past couple of weeks, the Governor has announced a plan to reopening the state, in phases. In the first phase, starting May 9, retailers will be allowed to open under capacity restrictions, restaurants will be allowed to include drinks in takeout and delivery orders and some state parks will reopen with limited parking. However, gatherings are still limited to 5 people and effective Friday, May 9, the general public is now required to wear a mask indoors or outdoors when in the presence of other members of the public and unable to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet. Of course, we already require all staff to wear a mask when providing care in the home unless proper social distancing can be maintained. As a reminder, please clean your cloth mask after each shift.

In the interest of keeping everyone safe, we now ask that you screen your clients daily and you are also required to answer ClearCare screening questions for yourselves. If you should develop any symptoms associated with COVID, we ask that you call the office as soon as possible so we can assist you with information about testing and to advise about next steps.

Please note that we are planning to resume classroom training soon. Training will be conducted via Zoom for the time being. The schedule will be posted on caregiver.place in the coming days.

Take care and be safe!

Cris
