Home Instead offers our clients an Integrated Care experience with a Home Care Tablet (GrandPad) that provides video check-ins, messaging, and a direct connection to your Home Instead support team with just the touch of a button. This page is a guide for CAREGivers to learn about all the exciting features the HCT offers.
Log into your Empower account and search for "Integrated Care" to view courses available that provide instruction and guidance on how to use the GrandPad.

Home Instead Now!
The Home Instead Now button is your direct link to Home Instead. Press this button on the device to call the office with any questions or concerns while on shift.
LET US HELP: Our office staff can initiate video calls with the tablet. If you ever feel like you need a second set of eyes inside the home, don't hesitate to call us! We are happy to assist in any way you need.
The Help button connects you to a GrandPad Member Experience Agent. Their team works along with Home Instead to provide technical support and answer questions you may have about the device.
ACTIVITY OF THE DAY: The agents are always ready with the 'Activity of the Day'. Call the Help button with your client, ask for the Activity of the Day, and you will be provided with a senior-friendly activity designed to keep the brain active and alert.
Things to do with your client
Browse through many daily and weekly articles available. From Sports History to Pet of the Day, your client is sure to find something they enjoy!
GrandPad offers many fun games to play alone or together! Games such as solitaire, blackjack, and hangman are a great way to keep your client entertained while keeping the mind active.
Listen online to popular radio stations, or browse through music by genre, song, and artist! Ask your client to introduce you to a favorite music style, or talk about a song that brings back memories for them.
